In this video you’ll learn how to quickly access the summary of the YouTube videos you are watching with ChatGPT technology.
Today I’ve got a great add-on for Chrome that extends the things I’ve been showing you in previous videos about new tools that you can add to your workflow as a Freelancer or WordPress professional to do your job better for yourself or your clients.
The free Chrome extension is called YouTube Summary With Chat GPT
It’s perfect for somebody like myself who oftentimes is making content using YouTube first, but then wanting to use it or share it elsewhere.
Many people use Youtube to research and consume a variety of content, including educational videos, tutorials, and entertainment.
However, with so much content available, it can be difficult to find the specific information desired. This is where the YouTube Summary With ChatGPT chrome extension comes in.
This extension can help you quickly and easily find the key points of a video, so you can get the information you need without having to watch the entire thing.
Let me walk you through how to use it when watching video produced by someone else:
First, you’ll need to install the extension. You can do this by going to the Google Chrome web store and searching for “YouTube Summary With ChatGPT“. Once you’ve found the extension, click the “Add to Chrome” button.
Once the extension is installed, open any YouTube video and you’ll see an icon appear in the top right corner of the screen. This is the extension icon. Click on the icon, which will open a new window showing the Summary of the video.
You can read the summary and decide whether the video is worth watching or not based on the summary. This can save a lot of time if you are looking for specific information.
The tool is also very helpful for anyone like myself who is producing your own content.
Many of my clients and customers would rather read a transcript or post instead of watch my video content, but I’m often most creative when producing video first, on the fly.
Quite frankly sometimes I do use a script, but more often than not I’m speaking extemporaneously.
Unlike the normal captioning of YouTube, which is often inaccurate and takes some time to come out, the ChatGPT summary is available almost immediately after one publishes a new video.
Even though the resulting summary requires a little bit of editing, it does put in time codes, which is quite useful.
Here’s how I used it when I’m producing video instead of on a video that is produced by someone else:
First, copy the transcript and paste it into a Google doc. After doing so, I was able to simply add some breaks on the paragraphs and then move the time codes where it was useful for me.
For example, I could use this summary as my official transcript or captioning on the YouTube video (if it is my own), but I can also use it as content inside of blog posts or social media posts.
Although you have to manually edit the summary as of today, I believe the editing will ultimately be done fully automatic in the future.
The extension’s summary on the Youtube video page allows one to click on the words and be redirected to the matching location in the video, which is quite handy if you are trying to find content in a longer video.
In the near future I expect that the resulting summary will be completely edited and formatted, because I’ve seen that OpenAI is already mature enough to generate content and syntax as good as any human author, even myself.
Overall, the YouTube Summary With ChatGPT chrome extension is a useful tool for anyone who wants to make the most of their time on YouTube.
It can help you quickly and easily find the key points of a video, so you can get the information you need without having to watch the entire thing.
It also provides a unique feature that allows you to ask any question you have about the video and get an answer in a natural language.
This can save you a lot of time and help you find the information you’re looking for more easily.
